Updated Goals:
- Design a peanut processing facility in Malawi for our client Afri-Nut that produces raw whole peanuts, roasted whole peanuts, and peanut paste
- Be able to meet consumer needs of Valid Nutrition (Afri-Nut’s largest client) and supply the children of Malawi with the nutrition they need
- Construct and operate the most efficient plant possible
Updated Objectives:
Our new objectives are much different. We have been tasked with the construction and operation of a high tech peanut processing plant in Malawi. Before, the plant that we were developing was located in rural Malawi that had to be designed without electricity or modern day equipment. Now, we are developing a large scale peanut processing facility for our client, Afri-Nut, that has access to modern day technology, electricity, and must process three different types of products.
-We must sort contaminated and safe peanuts, which can be measured by the peanut sorter and the hand grading
-Produce X kilograms (Still being determined by Afri-Nut) amount of raw whole peanuts, roasted whole peanuts, and peanut paste for customers
-Analyze different roasters and other equipment for efficiency and production rates, which can be measured through thermodynamic and fluid dynamic properties
-Meet cost and time requirements, which can be measured monetarily
-Communicate with Afri-Nut throughout to ensure specific goals are being achieved
-Meet HACCP requirements
-Design a floorplan for the facility, using AutoCad Inventor
